WORKSHOP

BodyKronos

After twelve years of Butoh dance training and practice and more than four decades of experience in theater and performing arts, I begun to put together my knowledge of Butoh dance and performing arts in a practical workshop which I named “BodyKronos”

Concept:

My workshop is called BodyKronos.

The body is our instrument to explore life; the material presence of oneself; oneness turn into duality.

Kronos is time, our present reality.

Presence in the present.

Time is the means utilized by human beings to measure transformation. From childhood to old age; from growth to decay; from seed to plant; from flower to fruit; from night to day; from matter to dust.

Time is transformation, transformation is movement; movement causes vibrations; vibrations connect us to the universal stream of creative energy.

The body reflects the passage of time through transformations, internal and external, and movements, conscious and involuntary. Thus we are connected with the vital flow of cosmic energy.

The body keeps these experiences that are an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

Through a conscious practice that combines body, imagination and spirit, we can connect with this flow of vital energy and intuitively, be part of the dance of creation of the universe.

BodyKronos is a creative movement workshop based on Butoh dance and physical theater. It is aimed at all those interested in establishing a deep relationship with the expressive possibilities of their body regardless of age or previous training.

BodyKronos draws knowledge from Butoh, Sacred Dances, Chi kung, Zazen and Feldenkrais techniques to offer the possibility of relating to movement in a more profound and conscious way through physical, intellectual and emotional transformations.
